Plans and Billing
Appsanic has three plans: Free, Pro, and Business. This page covers what each one includes and how billing works.
Billing belongs to your account. You have exactly one, and it has one plan, at most one Stripe subscription, one monthly-credit pool, and one separate top-up pool. Upgrading from Pro to Business changes that same account; it does not create a second one. The owner manages billing, while team seats on Business build using the account's shared credits.
Want to change your email, password, or check your active sessions? That lives separately under Account & Security.
The plans at a glance
| Plan | Price range | Credit ladder per month | Storage ladder | Fast model | Pro model |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | - | 100 MB | ✗ | ✗ |
| Pro | $25 → $1,250 | 200 → 10,000 | 10 GB → 500 GB | ✓ | ✓ |
| Business | $50 → $2,500 | 200 → 10,000 | 20 GB → 1 TB | ✓ | ✓ |
Pro entry is $25 for 200 credits and 10 GB of project storage; the ladder scales up to $1,250 for 10,000 credits and 500 GB. Pick the tier that matches the volume you build.
Business charges exactly 2× the Pro price for the same credit volume - $50 for 200 credits, $100 for 400, all the way to $2,500 for 10,000 - and includes 2× the project storage at every tier (20 GB at the entry, up to 1 TB at the top). The premium also covers priority support and the team-shaped capabilities (seats, SSO) that are included under the Business flag.
When Free or Pro is upgraded to Business, Appsanic first asks the owner for the Business account name. The request is held safely while Stripe completes the exact paid Business activation, and only then is the existing account renamed. A failed, cancelled, or abandoned checkout leaves its current name unchanged. Its projects, team seats, credit pools, and billing identity stay attached to that one account throughout. An existing Business account can change Business credit tiers without being asked to name itself again.
The full credit + storage ladder
Both Pro and Business share the same ten credit tiers. Pick credits and the storage that comes with that tier is implicit - there's no separate storage selector.
| Credits | Pro / month | Pro storage | Business / month | Business storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 200 | $25 | 10 GB | $50 | 20 GB |
| 400 | $50 | 20 GB | $100 | 40 GB |
| 800 | $100 | 40 GB | $200 | 80 GB |
| 1,200 | $150 | 60 GB | $300 | 120 GB |
| 2,000 | $250 | 100 GB | $500 | 200 GB |
| 3,000 | $375 | 150 GB | $750 | 300 GB |
| 4,000 | $500 | 200 GB | $1,000 | 400 GB |
| 5,000 | $625 | 250 GB | $1,250 | 500 GB |
| 7,500 | $937.50 | 375 GB | $1,875 | 750 GB |
| 10,000 | $1,250 | 500 GB | $2,500 | 1 TB |
Top-up credit packs do not include storage. They're credits only - your storage allowance stays at the level set by your active monthly plan.
All paid plans include:
- Sanic Fast and Sanic Pro AI models.
- Unlimited private projects.
- Project templates as starting points.
- All sixteen managed connectors (Supabase, Stripe, OpenAI, Google Maps, AdMob, and more) - connect once, every project in your account can use it.
- Account Access: let the AI work directly in your Supabase, Stripe, and Resend accounts, with every action logged to that connector's Activity feed.
- Plan Mode for complex builds.
- Custom branding (colors, fonts, logos).
- Push your code to GitHub.
- App preview on your phone via Expo Go.
- Publish to the App Store and Google Play through Appsanic - connect your store account, click Publish, and Appsanic builds and uploads your app for you (a paid capability priced per publish; the dialog shows the exact credit cost before you confirm).
- Conversation history.
- Top-up credits at any time.
Credits are the only meaningful cap on paid plans - no throttle on concurrent builds, iterations, or request rate.
Publishing through Appsanic is rolling out. The one-click flow below is how it works: you connect your store account, click Publish, and Appsanic builds and uploads your app for you. While we finalise it, if it is not yet enabled on your account you can publish today by exporting your code and running EAS yourself. We will remove this note when the flow is live for everyone.
Free plan
Designed for exploring. On Free you get:
- Project templates - open one, browse the code, step through how the agent built it.
- The code editor - read and manually edit any file.
- Live iPhone + Android preview on your phone via Expo Go.
- Export the complete codebase locally.
- 100 MB of asset storage (shared across all your projects).
You cannot:
- Run your own prompts against the AI models.
- Push to GitHub or create private projects.
- Connect services from the connector catalogue (browsing all sixteen is free; connecting needs a paid plan).
- Use brand kits or conversation history.
When you're ready to start prompting and launching, upgrade to Pro from $25/mo.
Annual billing
Annual billing is on the roadmap and not yet generally available. Monthly billing is the only self-serve option today. If you need to commit annually ahead of the rollout (multi-app launches, finance constraints), email contact@appsanic.com.
Changing plans mid-cycle
You can change plans at any time. Paid plan changes are classified by the actual monthly price and credit allowance, not just by whether the label says Pro or Business:
- A price increase takes effect only after Stripe successfully charges the exact prorated amount for the time left in the current period. The matching prorated credit increase is then added once.
- A price decrease starts at the next renewal. The old price, features, and current-cycle credits stay in place until then.
- The same price with more monthly credits also starts at renewal, preventing a no-charge mid-cycle credit increase.
- The same price with the same or fewer monthly credits may switch features immediately, but it does not add or claw back current-cycle credits.
- Moving to Free or cancelling at period end takes effect at the end of the paid period. Unused monthly credits expire at that boundary; separately purchased top-up credits remain with the account for a future eligible paid plan. Free and Pro are solo plans, so leaving Business suspends your team seats when the new plan actually becomes current: those people can no longer sign in, but nothing is deleted and every project, file, and conversation they touched is retained. Return to Business and the same seats resume automatically, with the same passwords and no re-setup.
Credits: what you really get
See Credits for the full explainer. Short version:
- The active account's monthly credits reset at the start of its billing period.
- Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
- Top-up credits (purchased in addition to the account plan) do not expire at renewal or cancellation. They remain in that account's separate top-up balance while the account exists.
Top-ups
Running low mid-cycle? The account owner can open Account billing > Buy credits for the active account. Top-up packs come in the same ten credit sizes as the subscription tiers - 200, 400, 800, 1,200, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 7,500, and 10,000 credits - and are priced in line with that account's plan family. They're added to that account's wallet only after Stripe confirms the payment. They survive plan changes, cancellation, and monthly resets, but cannot be transferred to another account. An account on Free keeps its top-up balance but cannot spend it until an eligible paid plan is active again.
Top-ups are credits only - they don't add to your storage allowance. Storage stays at the level set by your active monthly plan.
Payment methods
We use Stripe for all billing. You can pay with:
- Visa, Mastercard, or American Express through Stripe's card checkout.
- Compatible wallets such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, and Link, when Stripe
makes them available for your browser, device, and saved payment method.
Bank debit and other local non-card payment methods are not currently enabled.
We never see your card details. Stripe handles all of that.
Invoices and tax
Every account payment generates an invoice, emailed to the billing address on file. The account owner can also download past invoices from Account billing > Invoices while that account is active.
- Applicable taxes, including Australian GST, are calculated at checkout from
the billing address through Stripe Tax and shown before payment.
- If you have a valid VAT/GST/ABN tax identifier, enter it in Stripe Checkout
so it is validated and recorded for the payment.
Cancelling
The account owner can cancel the active account's subscription from Account billing > Cancel subscription.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then.
- After the period ends, that account's plan reverts to Free.
- Free is a solo plan. Team seats are suspended when the cancellation becomes effective (immediately for an immediate cancellation, otherwise at period end). Suspended seats cannot sign in and see a screen explaining why, but they are never deleted and everything they built stays in the account. Re-subscribe to Business and they resume automatically - same passwords, nothing to set up again.
- The account's projects, code, data, and top-up balance remain attached to it. Its owner can reactivate paid access later by re-subscribing.
Refunds
See our Refund Policy. Short version: no refunds for change of mind, but your Australian Consumer Law rights are preserved and cannot be excluded. Duplicate charges, unauthorized charges, or extended service outages are refunded at our discretion.
Failed payments
If a charge fails:
- We retry automatically a few times over the next few days.
- We email you about the failure with a link to update your payment method.
- After the configured grace period (normally seven days), paid features and
new credit spend stop until the overdue invoice is settled. On Business, team seats are suspended at that point - they cannot sign in until the invoice is settled, and then they resume automatically. Your projects, your team's work, and stored balances remain intact throughout.
Enterprise
If your organization needs:
- More than 10,000 credits a month at a single tier (custom volume packs available on request).
- SSO, SCIM, or audit log exports.
- Data residency guarantees.
- Signed DPA, MSA, or custom contracts.
- A named contact for support.
