A 10×20 board with the 7 standard tetrominoes (7-bag randomiser + wall-kick rotation), gravity that speeds up each level, a Score / Level / Lines HUD, a line-clear flash with SINGLE / DOUBLE / TRIPLE / TETRIS popups, a framed Next-piece preview, pause / resume, and an animated title screen. Sign-in and a global leaderboard with podium medals run on your own Supabase project (Postgres + Auth + RLS + Realtime).

Cascade is a complete Tetris-style block-puzzle game for iOS, Android, and web, built with Expo and React Native. You drop the seven standard tetrominoes onto a 10×20 board, clear lines for points, and chase SINGLE/DOUBLE/TRIPLE/TETRIS clears as gravity speeds up each level. Scores feed a global leaderboard with a medal podium. It is not playable the moment you open it: the app runs on your own Supabase project, so it opens on a Connect screen and then requires email/password sign-in before play (there is an optional 'Preview with sample data' mode to explore without a backend).

Data model

customers
One row per player mirroring auth.users (id, email, display_name); the display name shown on the leaderboard.
scores
One immutable row per finished run (owner_id, player_name snapshot, score, level, lines, created_at); the source of the global leaderboard.

Backend

Row Level Security on both tables: customers is readable only by its owner (id = auth.uid()) and never written by the client; scores are world-readable to any signed-in player but each row is insert-only by its owner, with a check that player_name equals the owner's display_name (no impersonation).
Scores are immutable: there are no update or delete RLS policies, so a submitted score can never be changed or removed.
Trigger handle_new_customer() (SECURITY DEFINER, search_path=public) fires on the on_auth_user_created trigger after insert on auth.users to auto-create the matching customers row, deriving a display name from user metadata or the email local-part.
Realtime: the public.scores table is added to the supabase_realtime publication so the leaderboard updates live as new scores arrive.
Indexes scores_board_idx (score desc, created_at asc) for the leaderboard query and scores_owner_idx (owner_id) for per-player lookups.
No SECURITY DEFINER RPCs beyond the handle_new_customer trigger function, no storage buckets, and no Edge Functions - the only backend surface is the two Postgres tables plus Auth, RLS, and Realtime.
